Bulk Upload module on FieldAssist dashboard is facilitated to user to insert or update many products in bulk.
To reach “Bulk upload”, follow the path shown below.
Click on the “Company Settings” drop down and then on arrow in front of the “Product Management” option as shown below to explore further.
Clicking on the arrow in front of the “Product management” will open further options as shown below.
Clicking on Bulk upload will open Further options.
Insert Product- To insert products in bulk
Update Product- To update the product in bulk
>>Insert Product-
To insert many products at a time, click on “Insert Product” option which will lead the user to the page shown below.
First of all, Download the sheet by clicking on the “Download tab”.
An excel sheet will be downloaded with many columns to be filled for product details which vary for business to business.
Mandatory Fields in the sheets are-
1) | Product Division |
2) | Primary Category |
3) | SecondaryCategory |
4) | Product |
5) | Unit |
6) | Standard Unit |
Fill in the details in the sheet shown above and then click on the “Choose file”, browse the file and then click on “Upload” to upload the file.
Once clicked on upload, the data will go through 3 level check and will be inserted.
The page will ask you to click on “continue” two times if data in the sheet is correct and as per system requirement, and if not, the system will throw error message will exact error to be rectified.
>>Update Product:
In order to update the product details in bulk, click on the “Update Product” as shown below and download the update product file.
Once clicked on “update product”, user will be directed to the page shown below.
Click on “Download” to download the file in which changes has to be made.
Open the downloaded sheet.
Surf through the sheets to Find “Guide” and “Hashkey” of the product, corresponding to which only product detail can be updated.
Take the “GUID” and “HASHKEY” of the product and field to be updated in different sheet and save the sheet.
Once sheet is ready, click on “Choose file” to browse the sheet and then click on “Upload” to update the edited details as shown below.
Once clicked on upload, the data will go through 3 level check and will be inserted.
The page will ask you to click on “continue” two times if data in sheet is correct and as per system requirement, and if not, system will throw error message will exact error to be rectified.
Once Clicked on upload, Click on Contine at “Preliminary” and “Active” Checks.
Once clicked on continue again, data will go in for insertion. Data will be inserted when “insertion completed” message comes as shown in the image below.
